Cet ami britannique, discret mais toujours souriant arpentait les fairways de Guinlet depuis de nombreuses années en compagnie de la délégation anglaise mais aimait aussi partager ses parties avec les français.
C'était un homme simple qui apportait cette touche anglaise à notre club... So british.
Parions que maintenant, pour ceux qui croient, Mervyn partagera des parties de golfs "endiablées" avec St Andrews.
Le bureau et l'ensemble des membres de Guinlet se joignent à moi pour nos plus sincères condoléances à toute sa famille (sa femme Lucia, ses fils Matt et Dan ainsi que son épouse).
Reposes en paix Mervyn, ton image fait partie à jamais de notre club.
This British friend was reserved but always smiling in the nine years that he walked the fairways of Guinlet, sharing his round in company with English and French members. He brought a distinct English touch to our Club.
Let’s think of him now happily playing rounds of golf whilst over-looking St. Andrews.
The Bureau and all the members of Guinlet join with me in sending our most sincere condolences to his wife Lucia, and to his sons Mathew, Dan and to his wife Max.
Rest in peace Mervyn you’ll always be remembered at our Club.
